Turquoise Class

We are Turquoise class and our favourite subjects are science and art. We are extremely hard working and we always try our best. There are 30 children in our class and we have many talents. We can sing, dance, play music, read, write, and we are all great artists. We are excellent at using ICT (we love computers). This year we want to become more independent with our learning, we love it when we achieve our targets in our reading, writing and maths.

Class Data       

In  Turquoise  class we can speak many different languages including Tamil, Jamaican, English, Spanish, Arabic, Urdu, Somalian, Romany and Romanian. We have many continents represented in our class including Asia, Africa, and Europe. We celebrate our diversity in  Turquoise class and really enjoy learning from each other.

We will also participate in subject weeks:

• Science Week
• Art Week
• Novel Focus

To enrich our curriculum we will venture out on many trips. We hope to go to all these exciting places.

• Science Museum
• Natural History Museum
• Lloyd Park
• Theatre

Homework Ideas

Children should continue reading every night. Please remember to talk to them about the book they are reading, ask them lots of questions!

Practice the times tables every night. Your child is tested on them once a week.

Your child will receive a spellings rule each fortnight. Please help them to to find as many words as they can that include these spelling rules. Your child will be tested on them once a week.

Children also receive a homework project which is to be completed over each half term. They have about 6-8 weeks to complete this at their own pace.
