Hello! We are Emerald class and we are here to learn. We know what learning behaviour is and are not afraid of making mistakes; we learn from them.
Our behaviour is excellent. We know that it is important to respect others and ourselves. We know that we need to listen to who is speaking and take turns. We are polite to others and very welcoming to visitors.
Data
We come from all over the world and speak lots of different languages including Urdu, Tamil, Somali and Romanian, Bosnian as well as English.
We will also participate in these subject weeks:
- Science Week
- Art Week
- Novel focus
- Life Skills
To enrich our curriculum, we will venture out on different trips. We hope to go to all these exciting places:
- The London Eye (London Landmarks and Transport)
- The Natural History Museum (Plants Animals and Mini-Beasts)
- Shoeburyness (We’re All Going to the Seaside)
Homework Ideas
Children should continue reading every night. Please remember to talk to them about the book they are reading, ask them lots of questions!
Practice the times tables every night. Your child is tested on them once a week.
Your child spelling words every week. Great ways to help them spell might include making the letters with pasta, writing a story using all the spellings or even writing the words in different colours. Use one colour for the vowels and one for the consonants.
