Homework ideas
At the beginning of every topic your child shall be sent a piece of topic homework. This may involve writing, constructing or creating. They will be given a number of weeks to complete their project.
Reading is very important in year 3 and it should be carried out every night. Please listen to your child read and ask them lots of questions about what they have read, to encourage their understanding of the book. Write any comments in their reading record book.
Practise the times tables every night – this will be their Numeracy homework.
Differentiated spellings will be given out every week, for the children to learn. They will also be set tasks from time to time, to find words that match a spelling rule.
